STATEMENT OF FAITH

Our Foundation of Faith

Dunamis Fellowship Canada stands firmly in the historic creeds of the Christian Church—especially the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed. Rooted in the Reformed tradition and called to extend the Kingdom of God, we affirm:

Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church

Colossians 1:15–20
Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation, and the One through whom all things hold together. He is the Head of the Church, the beginning, and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything He might have supremacy.

Our Calling: The Great Commission

Matthew 28:18–20
We are commissioned by Jesus Christ to go into all the world and make disciples. He has all authority and is with us always.

Our Anchor: The Word of God

We are grounded upon the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments—God’s inspired and infallible Word, the final authority in matters of faith, morality, and life.

The Work of the Holy Spirit

We believe Jesus Christ has sent the Holy Spirit to accomplish four foundational works:

New Birth into God's Kingdom — John 1:12–13; John 3:1–8
Transformation of Character — Galatians 5:22–23; Romans 12:1–2
Empowerment for Witness and Service — Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11
Fellowship with God and One Another — 1 John 1:1–4; Ephesians 2:19–22

The Only Way of Salvation

We affirm that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. Salvation is found in Him alone, by grace, through faith. While we trust God’s perfect justice and mercy for those who have not heard or have rejected the gospel, we remain committed to proclaiming Jesus Christ to the world.

Sanctity of Human Life

We uphold the sacredness of every human life from conception to natural death. All people bear the image of God and are infinitely valuable. In a broken world, we hold firmly to Christ's grace and redemptive power for all.

God’s Design for Marriage

We affirm that God created humanity as male and female, and that Christian marriage is the covenant between one man and one woman. We uphold a biblical understanding of marriage while extending grace and the transforming power of the Holy Spirit to all.
